Your 4-Day Hands-On Wrap Training Outline

Day 1: Intro To Vehicle Wraps

On the first day, you'll be introduced to the basics of vehicle wraps and become familiar with the materials, equipment, and processes you will use throughout the 4-day vehicle wrap training course. Having a deep understanding of vehicle wrap tools and techniques will guarantee you provide exceptional results and never harm a customer's vehicle.

Vehicle Inspection
Every vehicle wrap job starts with a vehicle inspection. You'll learn specific techniques for evaluating a customer's vehicle so you know which essential services to offer. You'll also learn where you can take advantage of opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to build the invoice and offer a comprehensive vehicle wrap service.

Material Prep & Trimming
Once the vehicle is prepped it's time to get the materials placed around the vehicle, test the fit and tape in place. Cut the film to fit doors, handles, lights, and mirrors as well as relief cuts for rolling into wheel wells. You'll learn how to use a tape hinge, squeegee techniques, and when to use heat and when not to during the installation.

Day 2: Vehicle Prep & Begin Wrap Installation

Vehicle Prep
After inspecting the vehicle, begin to prep the vehicle for the application of the vehicle wrap film. Removing surface contaminants and cleaning grooves and seals is crucial for making sure the vehicle is ready for the film application.

Learn Tips & Tricks
You'll get a feel for how to work with the material and begin with installing film to hood panels. Practice hands-on tips for tucking & trimming material around contours. Become the expert on proper techniques for installing the film to corners and large panels.

Day 3: Complete Wrap Installation

Large Panels & Tricky Areas
You, your instructor, and classmates will work together on completing the wrap installation on bumper and door panels. Learn how to properly prefill and inlay bumpers. You'll move on to working with more difficult areas such as doors that have tricky handles or other obstacles for the film to navigate.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance
As you work, your expert instructor will provide insight on what to look for as you work with the film to avoid bubbles or wrinkles and how to get rid of these elements if they do occur. If necessary, you'll learn how to properly seam the film. After correcting any tricky areas you’ll learn how to maintain a vehicle wrap.

Day 4: Features, Best Practices & Graduation

Specialty Wrap Features
Learn how to perform popular wrap services such as chrome delete as well as how to properly use knifeless tape for racing stripe installations.

Pricing & Profitability
Gain an understanding of how to price your vehicle wrap installation services for profitability, taking into account film cost, your work time and more.
